Sanford School Science club sets world record in Punkin Chunkin competition
Sanford's Upper School science club, Project Beyond, set a new world record in this year’s Punkin Chunkin competition in Bridgeville, Delaware. The Sanford trebuchet, Sanford Slinger, came in first place by launching a pumpkin 852.34 ft. The team’s launch set a new world record in the Youth Trebuchet division. Congratulations to Ariel Jicha and the members of Project Beyond. Ariel has been asked to be captain for next year's team.
