St. Annes Episcopal School is seeking a dynamic and engaging Lower School Music Teacher and Choir Director
Expectations:
· Teach general music classes to Pre-K through fourth grade
· Direct a third grade choir, fourth grade choir, and middle school choir, with an option for an extra-curricular middle school show choir or glee club
· Direct the chapel music program in cooperation with the school chaplain
· Play piano for all weekly chapel services
· Direct two large-scale concerts (Christmas and Spring) each year as small as some smaller programs that feature our younger performers
Requirements: The successful candidate will have a bachelors degree in music or music education, demonstrate piano proficiency, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be comfortable using technology as a teaching tool, and have experience teaching music at the elementary and middle school level.
