The G. Harvey Zendt Faculty Endowment Fund was established in October 2007 to honor Mr. G. Harvey Zendt, St. Anne’s Episcopal School’s first Head of School, upon his retirement from St. Anne’s. It was a secretive movement to establish this fund and was presented as a surprise to the Zendt family in the spring of 2008. Families, alumni, faculty and friends of the school contributed more than $45,000 to the fund in its first year. Initially, investment income from the G. Harvey Zendt Faculty Endowment Fund has been used to fund opportunities for professional development, such as conference attendance and continuing education for faculty members at St. Anne’s Episcopal School. Because professional development for his faculty was such a priority, the fund still exists to augment the annual professional development budget. Families wishing to honor the dedication of the entire faculty to professional growth may contribute annually to the G. Harvey Zendt Faculty Endowment Fund.
