Homework Portal The purpose of the portal is to give parents a greater understanding of their child’s homework responsibilities and assist when students are absent from school and need to get their work. We discourage students from depending on the portal in place of their planners. A student’s ability to proactively approach and organize his or her workload is a critical study skill that will serve them throughout his or her life. They should continue to write down assignments in each class and using their planners to organize their responsibilities and budget their time.Students should not complete work on the portal ahead of time unless cleared with a teacher. Homework assignments in many classes flow from the experience the student has in class the day before the assignment. Completing the assignment ahead of time can put the student out of synch with the rest of the class and hurt their academic growth.
