SAPA Dear Families and Friends,Welcome to the Saint Anne’s Parents Association’s (SAPA) page! This site will be updated periodically to keep you informed about upcoming events. Our purpose is to support the mission of our school by developing a positive and welcoming community among students, parents, faculty, and staff. We serve as the parental voice in the education process here at St. Anne’s. All parents are encouraged to attend our activities and events. We hope to see you soon at a SAPA organized event! Nisha Lodhavia and Katie MacMillan SAPA Co-Presidents What does SAPA do? • We host meetings to discuss general parenting and educational issues. There are typically 4 SAPA meetings during the school year. The topics reflect the needs and interests of our parents as indicated by the parent survey. • We also have Coffee Connections throughout the year. This provides an informal, smaller venue for parents to socialize and to discuss various topics. • We host a book club for parents looking for another opportunity for fellowship and fun! • Annually, SAPA sponsors the Fall Festival – a fun day filled with activities for St. Anne’s families. • We work closely with teachers and staff to coordinate classroom volunteering opportunities. • We work with Chaplain Howlett and other faculty members on community outreach. In the past this has included food drives, clothing drives and more. • Grade-level parent socials • Summer Family Picnic at Back to School Night • Family Night at the Book Fair SAPA consists of the following volunteer positions and committees: Executive Committee Positions: President, Treasurer, Secretary, Lower School Representative, Middle School Representative Standing Committees: Community Service - Works with school chaplain on goodwill activities for school and public community; Friends of the Library - Assists librarian with library functions including book fair and special events; Coordinates library volunteers; Volunteer Coordinator - Contacts volunteers as needed to help with school activities; Development - Reports to school board on development; Fall Fest Chair - Organizes and runs Fall Fest for SAPA; Technology Coordinator - Works with SAES staff to create and maintain the SAPA website |
