From The Rev. Louise Howlett, Chaplain
Welcome to St. Anne’s Episcopal school, a place where children love to learn and learn to love! Our spiritual life is an important part of our mission to nurture and educate the whole child. The goals of our spiritual mission are to encourage spiritual growth, to teach respect, responsibility and compassion, to pursue peace and justice with one another and within our greater community, to develop a sense of responsibility for the common good and the betterment of others through service learning.
This mission permeates our school life but is especially emphasized in weekly chapel services and religion classes, daily devotions, character building activities and service projects. In religion class and chapel services, students are exposed to Bible stories and values, holidays and sacraments, and world religious traditions.
Love for students, for their value as children of God, and their unique gifts are guiding precepts of our life together. We encourage respect for others’ beliefs, and seek values that unite all people. Families of all faiths are welcomed and encouraged to share their beliefs in classroom or chapel settings.
Come join us for worship and enjoy the beautiful singing of our students!
