Congratulations to Ashton Dunkley '11, who was also named Temple University's 2018 student-athlete of the year!
Ashton is a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field Team at Temple. She started cross country at St. Anne's and has continued to run competitively ever since. An Anthropology and history major with a minor in Italian and a 3.9 GPA, she is also one of the top ten GPA's among Temple Athletes.
At the awards ceremony, the women's cross country team received the Owl Trophy for the top Team GPA Award with an aggregate GPA of 3.54. The Owl Cup is given to the team that has best exemplified the initiatives set forth by the NCAA CHAMPS/Life Skills program: student-athletes supporting other student-athletes, excelling in and out of the classroom, attending CHAMPS/Life Skill workshops, volunteerism, and the promotion of a healthy and competitive campus environment.
